STRATEGIES FOR DIVERSITY BEST PRACTICES
Facilitate the District’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and Subcommittees (engagement, instruction, and policy).
Coordinate the District’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts into one cohesive plan and assists the District with a needs assessment and its subsequent implementation and oversight of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
Conduct surveys, needs assessments, and measurable data collection with the District to inform the DEI strategic plan, including program development, professional training, and educational offerings.


SUPPORT FOR BOARD, ADMINISTRATION, AND STAFF
Conduct professional development trainings for staff on restorative practices, culturally responsive and sustainable education, discrimination, racism, implicit and/or explicit bias, ability differences, gender identity and/or differences, facilitating respectful discussions around contentious topics, and other topics designed to increase awareness and support of students’ wellness and sense of belongingness at school.
SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES
Design and/or deliver Family Learning Series programs on topics related to equity, inclusion, diversity, and bias awareness.
Work with school sites to establish and support DEI parent group and student groups
